Level Sensors

Level sensors detect threshold levels or continuously measure fill levels—either noncontact or in direct contact with the medium. Radar, ultrasonic, capacitive, and optical methods, as well as guided microwave and magnetostrictive solutions, cover liquids, bulk solids, and pasty media. This allows for the reliable monitoring of tanks, silos, and pipelines even in the presence of foam, dust, buildup, deep containers, or in areas with Ex-requirements.

Sensors, Level Sensors

Level sensors from TURCK and Banner Engineering offer the right measuring principle for virtually any medium, container geometry, and environment. The combined portfolio ranges from radar and ultrasonic measurement to capacitive and optical level detection, as well as guided microwave and magnetic and magnetostrictive solutions. Non-contact and wetted-part variants provide level, distance, volume, or continuous level readings. Users can prevent overfilling, dry running, and material shortages while safely automating refill processes.

Our portfolio of level sensors stands out for the following reasons:

  • Broad portfolio of measuring principles: radar, ultrasonic, capacitive, optical, guided microwave, and magnetostriction
  • Level detection and continuous measurement: solutions for overfill protection, inventory management, and control
  • Non-contact or in-contact: reliable detection of liquids, bulk materials, and pasty media
  • Reliable in challenging conditions: consistent performance in the presence of foam, dust, buildup, deep tanks, or in Ex atmospheres
