Fluid sensors that think ahead

The capacitive touch buttons are more than just a modern gimmick: eliminating mechanical buttons allows protection ratings up to IP69K, which are reliably maintained even after many years of use. The touch interface also allows intuitive gesture control, such as a swipe to lock or unlock the devices.

The 2-color, 14-segment display clearly indicates critical values by changing to red. This means that even untrained employees can see immediately that a measured value is getting out of control.

The process connections and sensor units with different measuring principles can be flexibly combined in production. This shortens delivery times even for uncommon combinations. The modular design principle also paves the way for the unique differential pressure sensor with dual process connection.

Despite the family's consistent design, each sensor type offer specific features to make commissioning and use as straightforward as possible. For example, the delta flow monitoring of the FS+ facilitates process-safe teaching of the flow reference value.

The design and operating concept of the PS+ impressed the expert jury of the IF Design Award in 2019. Later the same year, visitors to the SPS fair voted the FS+ into first place in the "Standard Components and Sensors" category of the Automation Award handed out by the trade journal "elektro AUTOMATION." The FS+ also convinced readers of "Computer und Automation" magazine, who placed it second in the "Sensors and Measurement Technology" category.
