Airflow sensors with IO-Link
TURCK offers airflow sensors FCS-K20 and FCS-M18 for digitalized airflow monitoring
Benefits
Fast commissioning without programming
Parameterization via IO-Link simplifies installation in hard-to-reach locations
Additional process data for IIoT
Flexible connection options
Turck's new FCS airflow sensors with IO-Link digitally monitor air flows and temperatures, for example on fans and filters in industrial ventilation and exhaust air systems. Compared to devices with analog output, IO-Link enables simple parameterization and offers additional process data such as temperature values. Users benefit from fast commissioning and the ability to adjust settings remotely even after installation — ideal for air ducts that are difficult to access. As no mechanical adjustment elements are required, there is no risk of leakage.
Comprehensive status information via IO-Link
The airflow sensors provide extensive status information via IO-Link and support the Smart Sensor Profile standard. In addition to the switching function for air flow and temperature, diagnostic and operating data is also available for IIoT applications. The integrated 6-color LED provides a clear status display directly on the device. Versions with cable or pigtail and M12 connectors offer flexible connection options.
Airflow monitoring in ventilation systems
Typical applications are the monitoring of air flows in ventilation ducts, exhaust air systems and industrial fans as well as monitoring filter conditions. The sensors are also used in underground parking garage or tunnel ventilation systems. The product family includes FCS-K20 for plug-in mounting and FCS-M18 for screw mounting. Both versions are available with a 2 m cable or a 0.2 m pigtail with M12 connector.
