Robust draw-wire sensors with a measuring length of up to 40 m
TURCK offers draw-wire encoders with low latency, numerous interfaces, and high linearity up to ±0.05%
Benefits
- Measuring lengths from 250 mm to 40 m for a wide range of applications
- High linearity up to ±0.05% enables precise measurements
- Wide range of interfaces: analog, IO-Link, Profinet, CANopen
TURCK complements its portfolio of linear position sensors with the new DWE draw-wire sensor range – a robust and reliable solution for industrial length measurements in applications where non-contact systems such as optical, ultrasonic, or radar sensors reach their limits. The DWE series offers measuring lengths from 250 mm to 40 m and is available with analog outputs (current/voltage) as well as digital interfaces such as IO-Link, Profinet or CANopen. Thanks to the teachable analog output, the full output range can be optimally scaled even when the partial range is used. Depending on the model, the housings comply with IP65, IP67, or IP69K degrees of protection and are designed for ambient temperatures from -20 to +85 °C. The precise wire mechanism enables high acceleration with a high linearity of up to ±0.05%.
The draw-wire sensor range includes 148 devices with potentiometric, magnetic, or optical measuring principles, so that every application can be optimally mapped. With the appropriate connection technology, the potentiometric encoders achieve the highest degree of protection: IP69K. The magnetic and optical encoders are parameterizable and are available with digital interfaces such as IO-Link, CANopen or Profinet. .
Six variants with measuring lengths of 1, 2, and 3 m and analog outputs are available as stock items for particularly fast availability. Typical areas of application include intralogistics shelving systems, mobile machines, automated guided vehicles (AGV), and many applications with telescopic lifting systems.
