Next-generation capacitive sensors
In the capacitive IP67 sensors from the BC/UC series, TURCK combines traditional operation with digital intelligence and additional data for condition monitoring
Benefits
Intuitive switching point adjustment with optical feedback
Reduces the number of variants and simplifies storage
Fast parameterization and simple transfer to other sensors
Cost benefits in series applications due to uniform architecture
With the new BC/UC series, TURCK is expanding its portfolio of capacitive sensors to meet the increasing requirements for flexibility, cost efficiency, and digital integration. The sensors with IP67 protection gradually replace existing product lines and, thanks to their platform-based development concept, offer cost benefits for users, especially in high-volume applications. The digital potentiometer with RGB LED offers technical benefits, combining the proven switching point adjustment via a screwdriver with direct visual feedback to the switching point – without mechanical wear or the risk of leakage associated with classic potentiometers.
Complete integration into TAS
TURCK initially presents sensors with diameters of 18 and 30 mm in metal and plastic housings. The latter can be mounted both flush and non-flush — with only one device type. The integration of IO-Link and the Turck Automation Suite (TAS) enables simple parameterization, diagnostics, and commissioning. The TAS " Teach Monitor" allows sensors to be set up efficiently using different teach-in methods (e.g. Dynamic Teach ) and parameters to be transferred to additional devices — ideal for series applications..
Reliable detection even for demanding media
In addition to classic object detection, the sensors are suitable for detecting solids such as granules and powders, as well as liquids – even for demanding media such as foam or adhering substances. Other features include extended switching distances, laser-engraved housings with QR codes, and various connection options.
