Ultrasonic Sensors

Chemically resistant RU100U ultrasonic sensors are used in vineyards to optimally position sprayer booms

Ensures highly efficient spraying by continually adjusting the position of the nozzles
Can be used in various applications and has a long service life due to its sturdy design
Can easily adapt to use in new environments via teach-in
In vineyards, precise application of crop protection products is essential to secure yields and minimize environmental pollution. However, uneven terrain and gradients make even distribution difficult. Sprayer booms must be constantly kept at an optimal height to ensure effective and loss-free application. An automated height-control solution improves efficiency and crop protection. The substances used can permanently damage conventional sensors.
TURCK's ultrasonic sensors in the RU100U product series ensure precise positioning of the sprayer booms. With a range of up to 100 cm, they record the ground distance and control the height adjustment of the spray rods in real time. This allows the crop protection products to be distributed evenly, regardless of the gradient or uneven terrain.
Thanks to its chemically resistant design made of stainless steel and a coated sonic transducer face, the sensors are resistant to aggressive crop protection products and prevent deposits from forming. The robust design protects against moisture, dust and vibrations, ensuring a long service life.
The automatic gradient compensation system optimizes application, prevents unnecessary consumption of the spraying agent and protects the machine from collisions with the ground. Farmers benefit from a more reliable, economical and environmentally friendly crop protection solution.

"With our chemically resistant ultrasonic sensors, the sprayer boom is always optimally aligned — for efficient and precise application in vineyards."
