The new TURCK Automation Suite (TAS) makes the management and configuration of TURCK devices in industrial Ethernet networks simpler. In particular, the batch functions speed up a range of actions because they can be performed simultaneously on multiple network devices. This saves a great deal of time, for example, during firmware updates or the assignment of IP addresses.
Performing IO-Link functions via TAS
Software functions of Turck's IO-Link devices, such as the TURCK Radar Monitor, can be performed directly via TAS if the device can be accessed in the associated network. Classic IO-Link functions, such as setting parameters, can also be performed directly via TAS.
Additional IIoT functions in the future
With TAS, TURCK combines the configuration and parameterization tools of its smart sensors with the network management functions of its Ethernet devices in a single piece of centralized software. In the near future, the TURCK Automation Suite will also integrate extensive IIoT functions — for example, as a virtual edge controller to send data to cloud services via MQTT or OPC UA. Previous programs and tools will be gradually replaced by TAS.
