TURCK’s uprox sensors offer maximum switching distances and great mounting flexibility while reliably detecting all metals with a “factor 1” response. “Factor 1” means that steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and other metals are detected with the same switching distance and the same precision. This reduces the number of variants, simplifies integration, and increases process reliability. The magnetic-field-resistant sensors are particularly well-suited for welding environments in automotive body-in-white production. Thanks to their precise factor 1 detection, they are also ideal for standard applications as well as the food industry, such as for detecting stainless steel parts. TURCK’s NAMUR sensors were specifically designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. They operate in accordance with the NAMUR standard using a defined current interface and are operated in conjunction with suitable isolating switching amplifiers. Thanks to their reliable, non-contact detection of metallic objects and their high operational reliability, they are ideal for applications in the process industry as well as in areas with gas or dust atmospheres.
