Magnetic field/temperature sensor with IO-Link

TURCK's CMMT condition monitoring sensor detects magnetic field changes on three axes and therefore opens up new fields of application

Benefits

  • Robust design

  • ....Simple configuration and visualization ....

  • ....High interoperability ....

The three-axis CMMT magnetic field/temperature sensor with IO-Link is the third sensor type that TURCK has specially designed for easy handling and retrofittable condition monitoring applications. It complements the existing range of CMVT and CMTH vibration/temperature sensors for humidity and temperature measurements. With the CMMT, the combined magnetic field and temperature measurement makes it easy to detect faults in motors or processes with magnetic components. In addition, the new sensor also opens up applications that could not previously be solved, such as the contactless detection of the rotation and movement of metal objects without visual contact.

Detection of the earth's magnetic field and flexible output options

Due to the high sensitivity of five microtesla, the sensor also detects the earth's magnetic field, but can hide it if necessary by means of parameterization. The device outputs measured values individually or as a vector sum via IO-Link. In addition, users can assign two independent switching outputs. The CMMT supports the Smart Sensor profile 4.1.4.

User-friendly commissioning

When commissioning the CMMT, users are supported by the magnetic field monitor app from the TURCK Automation Suite (TAS). This application visualizes the sensor data live in the web browser and can be used without additional software via any TURCK IO-Link master. The device functions can also be adjusted via TAS or another IODD interpreter. In addition to the process values, additional information, such as operating hours and switching cycles, can be output via the digital interface.
